Nostalgia
Wednesday, January 7th, 2009I travel on average, for two weeks a month, and I have to often go abroad. The major form my homesickness takes when I’m abroad is my longing for Indian food. I have a soft corner for street food, and Mumbai’s street fare has always been my favourite, probably because my college years were spent there. You can’t beat it for variety - you can go to a hole in the wall and find Parsi, Goan, Tamilian and even Lebanese fare, besides the good old dahi puri and vada pav. But so much of this reminiscence - its been a couple of years since I’ve last had a chance to visit the stalls at Chowpatty.
